What is the difference between the Fine Art
and Design and the Decorative Art databases?
The Fine Art and Design database includes
fine art objects such as paintings,
photographs, prints, and sculpture ranging
from the Old Masters to present-day contemporary
artists. The Decorative Art database contains
antiques, antiquities, and collectibles.
Design objects can be found in both databases.
In the Fine Art and Design database, users
can conveniently search for post-19th century
design items with an attributed artist,
designer, or maker.
Please note that both databases only include
items estimated at $500 and above.
Does the Price Database include lots
from upcoming auctions?
Upcoming auctions are included in both
databases. Search results by default display
the most recent auction lots at the top of
your results, but you also have the option
to sort results by sale date,
work date, or price.

How do I know which artists are included
in the Price Database?
There are two ways to find out which artists are included in the Price Database.
If you do not yet have a subscription, visit the artist's homepage on artnet and scroll to see if “Auction Results” appears in the left-hand column under “Availability.” If this option appears, then the artist is in the Price Database.
If you already have a subscription, you may enter the artist's name on the Price Database search screen and, if their name appears in a dropdown menu, then the artist is in the database. You may then scroll to click "Check the Number of Results" near the bottom of the page to display the number of results that would appear in your search.
I only need to complete a few searches. Do
I still need to purchase a whole subscription?
We offer several flexible subscription options
that can be canceled or upgraded at any time.
For the Fine Art and Design database, you
can start with the One-Day Pass or the
Individual Rollover level. For the Price
Database Decorative Art, the Monthly

Rollover subscription mean?
The Individual Rollover subscription provides
you with 10 searches per month to the Price

remaining six searches will carry over to
your next month’s total searches. You can
roll over a maximum of 10 unused
searches each month.
